Ingredients:
1 Large egg 1/2 Cup barley flour 1 Cup Cake flour 3/4 Cup oat flour 1/2 Cup wheat bran 3 Heaped teaspoons malt extract 2 Heaped teaspoons maizena (corn flour) 2 Heaped teaspoon rye flour 1 teaspoon vanilla essence 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp creme of tartar 2 squeezes maple syrup 1 squeeze (1 tsp) molasses 1 tsp honey 20g butter (melted with holsum in microwave) 50g holsum (cooking fat) 100 ml castor sugar Method: Mix all dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Add all wet ingredients and mix well. Roll out flat on a floured surface until 3mm thick and cut into circles using a cookie cutter. Bake on a baking sheet in a preheated oven at 170ºC for 12 minutes. |
